Instructions
Enjoy a creamy cheese pasta with sauteed vegetables of choice. Choose your favorite pasta (I prefer farfalle), stir in the cheese sauce, and add your favorite vegetables! I like to cook and add in peas, broccoli, onion, and celery for a bunch of green vegetable nutrients.
The cheese sauce is a simple, five ingredient sauce to enjoy with any cheesy pasta.
Step-by-step
For the sauce:
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat
- Whisk in flour and salt to form a paste
- Slowly add in the milk
- Cook and stir until fully mixed (approx 2 minutes)
- Stir in the shredded cheese
- Cook until everything is fulled melted and mixed (approx 1-2 minutes)
For the pasta & vegetables:
- Cook the pasta in boiling water according to the box
- Sautee finely-chopped vegetables in about 1tbsp of butter until soft
Combine the pasta, cheese sauce, and vegetables!
